OTOYA

A Literary Journal of the New Nationalism

OUR FIRST EDITION IS HERE! Featuring work from around the world, you can purchase a copy on our publisher's site here.

“OTOYA: A Literary Journal of the New Nationalism” is a print and online publication named for Japanese patriot Otoya Yamaguchi. Our theme comes from President Trump’s first inaugural address: “Through loyalty to country we will rediscover loyalty to each other.” We are not exclusively about American nationalism, but the emerging right-wing nationalist movements around the world.

We are looking for submissions of unpublished work in the following categories for our next issue.

  • Creative Nonfiction
  • Fiction
  • Poetry
  • Visual art (painting, drawing, photography, etc.)
  • Reviews of books, film, music, etc.
  • Interviews

If your work is accepted, you will receive payment ($25 for poems, $75 for long pieces) and two contributor copies. Length is flexible, but please keep it under eight thousand words. Please send your submissions to submissions@otoya.org.

We are now accepting contributions on Patreon to help us fund our first issue. If you support our cause, make a donation here.
